There's SNOWplace like Home!

Welcome to the Snow Family Blog, created, partly due to pressure from children, in April 2009 & partly because it sounds like fun.
Quotes from Mom:
"Remember, Everything is always OK in the end. If it's not ok, then it's not the end!"

"There is no chance, no destiny, no fate which can circumvent or hinder or control the firm resolve of a determined soul"

"The chief cause of failure and unhappiness is trading what we want most for what we want at the moment."

Jaxon Baby Blessing

On Sunday, 17 October, 2010 we went up to Victorville for the baby blessing of Jaxon, Robert & Gina's baby boy. He looked so sweet! He is such a good baby. After the blessing, we went over to the house for snacks and then, later on, dinner. Gina fed us really good! We all had fun visiting too. Mark & Karina and family were down visiting from Lincoln so that was a real treat. Mark had a bad cold and we caught him napping on the couch with Karlee.

Caleb has really grown, especially when you hold baby Jaxon. Such a different just six months makes in a baby. Now he is playing and scooting all over. Julianna had such pretty curly hair. It's all natural. All Gina does is get it wet and it curls right up. So cute.
The kids had fun playing in Julianna's room.
It really looked like a big hurricane had hit it before they were done.

Now the star of the show today - Jaxon in his outfit that Grandma made :)
I had a hard time getting him to be awake enough to take a picture with his eyes open.

I think this pictures looks a lot like Brett when he was a baby.

All in all, it was a wonderful weekend in the company of our family. We were really sorry to see Mark and Karina go on home. They spent the next day at Disneyland - it was also Karina's Birthday. Cyndie & STeve and boys also met them there and spent the day. It was cool but nice. Everyone was exhausted by night but they were all very happy!

Gina to Temple

Gina went to the Newport Beach Temple on Saturday, the 16th of September to receive her Endowment. It was a very special day for them. In December they'll go to be sealed as a family. We can't wait. All the family will be there too!

I'm learning

Tyler & Scott watching their new baby brother, Caleb

Heather just came home from the hospital and the
kids couldn't keep their hands off Caleb

One of Heather's friends took this adorable picture of Caleb.

I guess, I didn't get all the pictures posted that I had tried to post. So I'll try again here. I need to figure out how to put them in right too. I finally changed the background, but it took me most of the evening to figure it out. Even now, I'm not sure I know what I did to make it change. We'll see when I try it again :)
I'll add in some pictures of Caleb when he was born and then some of the temple on Saturday and the blessing on Sunday or maybe I'll do separate posts.

Finally...a year later

Does this make my butt look big? :>

I'm so bad. It's been almost a year since I posted, but we've had lots of fun. Two new grandbabies and another coming any day. Then Stephanie & Karl have a new one coming in early May or late april. So exciting. Bryan and Heather had a sweet baby boy last March - Caleb. He is a good baby and so huggable. Robert and Gina had a baby boy in September...on Labor Day no less. His name is Jaxon and he is a doll. Looks like he'll have blue eyes too! We had a fun weekend recently when Gina went to receive her endowment at the Newport Beach Temple. Mark and Karina and family were done for the weekend so we had a busy time. A baby shower for Kari and the Temple and then the blessing of Jaxon on Sunday! A fun busy though. I'll try to post some pictures so we'll see. They said that image uploads will be disabled for two hours in about 15 more minutes. Let's see if I can do this quick!

Racing!

Had a great time on Saturday at the Lake Norconian 5K Race. Kari, Stephanie & I all ran in the race. It was a nice course that went up into RCC and then onto the Navy Base and around the Lake Norconian and then back again to RCC. We all did pretty good. I was first in my category with 36 minutes, Kari was first in hers with 26 minutes and Stephanie was 7th in hers with 30 minutes. I guess I'm lucky to be old! That way I can get a first place! Anyway, we had fun. They both ran back to find me and ran the last bit of the course along with me. I think it helped b/c I took almost 2 minutes off my previous time. I really like doing these races and it was really fun to have my girls with me. Next year, Bryan and Heather are going to run too.

Halloween 2009

All the kids looked so cute in their costumes. I didn't see all the grandkids on Halloween or around that date, but here are pictures of a few of them. The ones you don't see are just as adorable as the ones you do see.

Cookies R Us

We had fun on Halloween decorating cookies. We decided to do it outside for obvious reasons. Glad we did b/c they really got into it - and not just on the cookies. We had lots of fun and just hosed off the area when we were finished. It's better than worrying over stuff getting on the carpet.
